AC Milan caretaker coach Mauro Tassotti insists Massimiliano Allegri remains No1, despite victory last night against Cagliari.

Tassotti revealed he had been asked to take over Lazio when Edy Reja resigned towards the end of last season, but insisted he was not after Allegri's job.

"It was a strange situation and was to take over mid-season. In any case, I've been at Milan for over 30 years as player and assistant manager, so I am happy where I am."
