AC Milan are facing having to postpone talks for Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko until the summer.
Sources close to Milan say the big-money contracts of Pippo Inzaghi and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar are on will prevent management from splashing out again on a high-earning striker this month.
Dzeko is aware of Milan's interest and has openly declared he wants to play for the Rossoneri.
Juventus have also been linked with the Bosnia international, but given Wolfsburg's €25 million asking price, and their spending on Diego and Felipe Melo in the summer, Milan insiders say the club is confident they won't be gazumped by their Serie A rivals this month.
