AC Milan boss Inzaghi defends struggling players

AC Milan boss Pippo Inzaghi has defended his players over their poor campaign.

Milan are currently residing in the bottom half of the table.

"I don't think it's right to aim criticism at the work we are doing. We have television cameras filming our training sessions and you can see how hard we work. We're prepared to let all the reporters in to see what we do.

"Playing at San Siro, especially when things aren't going well, is not easy. The fans have been patient thus far and we must put what we do in training in to a match situation. The best medicine is a victory.

"To save the season we must get back to playing like Milan, rediscovering confidence and courage. We need to win the right way. We have to win back the fans with actions rather than words.

"The President and Adriano Galliani have always been close to me. They believe in me as a man and in my work. They too understood that the many injuries penalised us, but we should've done more anyway."
