AC Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri is delighted with the signing of former Fiorentina midfielder Riccardo Montolivo.

Milan have brought in Montolivo on a Bosman from Fiorentina this summer and Allegri insists he can offer versatility.

"He's certainly not a trequartista," he said. "But he can play in any of the three midfield positions that we use."
