AC Milan boss Allegri hopes season turns around after Palermo win

AC Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri hopes victory over Palermo is a turning point in their season.

The Rossoneri only had five points from the opening five rounds before cruising past Palermo 3-0. Antonio Nocerino, Robinho and Antonio Cassano grabbed Milan's goals.

"Everyone had a good game, although perhaps we weren't spreading the play enough in the opening minutes," the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

"Obviously the quality of individuals like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Antonio Cassano and Robinho made the difference and we picked up the pace in midfield.

"Regardless of what the other teams do, the important thing was that we got back to winning ways in a convincing fashion. We have to make up ground for the points we dropped in the first five rounds.

"Tonight's victory is above all for the three points so we can slowly start climbing the table."
