AC Milan coach Max Allegri was pleased with the form of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Antonio Cassano yesterday.
The Rossoneri thrashed Solbiatese with Ibra netting a brace and forcing an own goal, while Cassano was among those on target.
Mathieu Flamini, Alberto Paloschi, Gianluca Zambrotta, Urby Emanuelson and the recovering Pippo Inzaghi also hit the back of the net.
"Ibra and Cassano really had fun playing together, so the game was more than a mere training exercise," said Allegri.
However, new signing Taye Taiwo was disappointing and did not seem up to speed with his teammates.
"He still has the fitness work in his legs, so obviously it'll take a little time for him to settle in at his best."
