AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri explained dragging off goalscorer Mario Balotelli during victory over Catania.
Balotelli was substituted after repeatedly arguing with Catania defender Nicolas Spolli, who he reportedly accused of using a racist insult.
"It was a fair game, I don't think anything happened," shrugged Allegri. "Balotelli was a little tense and I preferred to remove him from the game, especially as were 3-1 up and he needs to rest."
