AC Milan boss Allegri delighted with Lopez arrival

AC Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri is pleased with their deal for Maxi Lopez.

The last few days have been chaotic in the Rossoneri camp, as a last-ditch bid to sign Carlos Tevez from Manchester City fell through, so they picked up Lopez on loan from Catania.

“Maxi Lopez is a very physically and technically gifted striker, so he can do very well at Milan. Over the next few days he’ll undergo a series of medicals and we’ll see when he can start training with us,” said the Coach in his press conference.

Glad to see that neither Merse nor George Graham still hold any feelings of bitterness towards Arsene then. It seems to me that if we really had this mythical mountain of money stashed away that AW might have used some of it by now to get us out of trouble. Instead of which he has to scrape by on what we can really afford whilst taking abuse from all quarters because no one at board level has the balls to stand up and admit they're not quite the financial genius they would like us to think that they are. AW is doing a bloody good job of keeping in touch with clubs who either have bottomless trouser pockets or suicidal financial strategies. It may be bloody frustrating at times but I don't really think slagging of the manager or looking to divide the team is the answer. Having said that, I wouldn't mind at all if he was to sell Arshavin and replace him with someone who doesn't appear to be some sort of Tottenham secret agent.
