AC Milan have announced that Ivan Strinic has been diagnosed with a heart condition.
It means the defender must cease all sporting activity.
The 31-year-old Croatia international full-back arrived as a free agent, having barely featured over the last six months at Sampdoria.
A statement released by the Rossoneri today confirmed Strinic has been diagnosed with “an initial hypertrophy of the cardiac muscle, which merits further investigation after a period of rest.
“For this reason, the player must temporarily suspend sporting activity until the tests have been completed."
