Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has scuppered claims that Barcelona are set to swoop for Gareth Bale.

Reports emanating in Spain suggest that the Wales star is set to depart White Hart Lane for the Nou Camp this summer but Spurs boss Redknapp is having none of it.

"I don't know anything about it. I wouldn't think there is the slightest bit of truth in that," he told reporters.

"Not a chance, I wouldn't have thought."
