Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is moving away from bringing back Jose Mourinho from Real Madrid.

Malaga and former Real Madrid boss Manuel Pellegrini and Juventus manager Antonio Conte head the Blues' wish-list, says the Mirror.

Mourinho again hinted this week he plans to come back to England at the end of the season but it appears his Bernebeu predecessor Pellegrini and Juve’s Conte are above him on Abramovich’s wanted list.

There are also candidates being considered should Rafa Benitez fail to qualify for Chelsea for the Champions League.

Borussia Dortmund’s Jurgen Klopp, Diego Simeone at Atletico Madrid and Everton’s David Moyes are also thought to be in the running to take over full-time from Benitez, although a former Chelsea favourite such as Gianfranco Zola, Gus Poyet or Dan Petrescu would be more plausible candidates if the Blues do not qualify for next season’s Champions League.
