Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich's transfer plans face being ripped up after they tumbled out of the top four yesterday.
The London Evening Standard says Chelsea are planning to strengthen heavily in the transfer market in the summer and require Champions League football to fund the signings of key targets Eden Hazard (Lille) and Willian (Shakhtar Donetsk).
The club paid a total of £28m in compensation to fire Carlo Ancelotti last summer and bring in Villas-Boas, but Abramovich will not hesitate to make another change should he determine Chelsea have underachieved.
