Abramovich cameras monitoring Chelsea training

Chelsea's stars cannot escape the attention of club owner Roman Abramovich.

The Observer says Abramovich has fitted out Chelsea's training ground with an advanced surveillance system that will allow him to monitor his multimillionaire players wherever he travels.

The club owner is a keen observer of training sessions and recently purchased a house overlooking the Cobham complex as an on-the-doorstep base. Abramovich can use the cameras when bad weather keeps him from the pitches, to keep video records of his employees' behaviour, or to have sessions digitally relayed to him when out of the country.
