About time Man City delivered in Champions League - Hart

Joe Hart was relieved that Manchester City finally delivered in the Champions League.

The Premier League champions have struggled in Europe's top club competition in recent years but managed to progress to the Round of 16 with a 2-0 win over AS Roma on Wednesday night, prompting positive words from goalkeeper Hart.

"Yes, it was about time we did," Hart said. "We started the campaign poorly but we have come good at the right time when we needed to and we have won the game.

"But we need to build on it now. We got ourselves all the way through last time and we struggled against Barcelona, so we have to look to be positive and see what we can do.

"The draw is going to take care of itself. It is what it is and we are just happy we are in it. We are confident we can do well against anyone but it is Leicester now and we have to turn our eyes to that. That's our next big game."

City kicked off their Group E campaign with a 1-0 loss to Bayern Munich in September and did not record their first victory until their fifth match when they edged the German giants 3-2 a fortnight ago prior to the Roma win.
