Eric Abidal is being lined up for a return to Barcelona.

The former Barca defender held talks with president Josep Maria Bartomeu yesterday.

Abidal revealed: "I've spoken with the President and I hope we'll have some good news next week. I'll be talking with him again before the weekend - my idea has always been to be the director of the schools."

Asked about former teammate, Lionel Messi, he added: "I can only see him here. He's the best player in the world and he has to be at this Club."
