Eric Abidal admits it's a dream come true to be playing for Barcelona this season.

The former Olympique Lyon defender told uefa.com: "As stated at the Stadium, Barca is 'more than a club'. When you are there, you soon understand the meaning of this slogan.

"Your club, players, the technical unit, employees of the club ... When walking around town, everyone thinks of only 'Barca, Barca, Barca'.

"I came here because I've loved this team since I was small and its players have inspired my dreams. I worked hard to get here and also needed some luck. Now am I here, I want to continue to grow as a footballer."
