Abete re-elected FIGC president

Giancarlo Abete has been re-elected as president of the Italian Football Federation - FIGC.

Abete, who was the only candidate, gained 256 votes - almost 95 per cent - after 32 voters opted to abstain.

The man born in 1950, who has been at the head of the FIGC since April 2007, will now remain in the post until 2017.
