Manchester City's teenage defender Javan Vidal has joined Aberdeen on loan for the rest of the season. The 19-year-old told RedTV: "I've just been waiting to get it done. There was a little hitch - I thought I might not be coming. But I'm delighted to be here now.
"I'm an attacking full-back, I like to get forward and create chances for strikers and midfielders.
"I can defend as well so it will be quite exciting for the fans."
He continued: "Scottish football is massive, to be fair, a very good standard.
"Celtic and Rangers: you've just got to look at their European success to know how big it is."
Vidal, who has yet to play for City's first team, added: "Reserve games are a good standard but there's nothing better than playing in front of fans on the big stage.
"Hopefully I'll be knocking on the first-team door."
