Aberdeen striker Maguire happy with progress at Kilmarnock

Aberdeen striker Chris Maguire admits he's happy on-loan at Kilmarnock.

The Scotland Under-21 striker is on a loan deal with Killie which expires at the end of the campaign.

He's expected to return to Aberdeen and see out the final year of his contract under Mark McGhee.

But Maguire said: "We're still ninth after losing to Rangers and we know we're not completely safe. We do have a battle on our hands and we know we'll have to fight hard to get out of it.

"We've only taken one point from our last four SPL games and have made individual errors. We've gifted goals too easily rather than making teams work hard.

"We put in good shifts against Hibs and Rangers but didn't get anything from the games.

"But we've shown we can handle that kind of team and if we keep playing like that I don't see why we can't stay up."
