Aberdeen have snapped up West Brom youngster Jared Hodgkiss on loan until January.
Dons manager Jimmy Calderwood has been targeting a right-back for some time and feels that Hodgkiss can fill what has become a problem position for Aberdeen this season.
The 21-year-old's arrival is likely to spell the end of any deal for freed Leicester City defender Alan Maybury.
