Aberdeen skipper Hartley not guaranteed a start

Aberdeen captain Paul Hartley is not an automatic starter after his side swept to a 5-0 win over Kilmarnock on the weekend according to manager Craig Brown.

Hartley missed the Pittodrie Stadium demolition because of suspension but will not necessarily be straight back in for Tuesday's meeting with bottom-of-the-table Hamilton Academical after the Dons midfielder performed so well against Killie.

"Paul Hartley does not automatically come back but he is a very influential player here. We have got to look at our resources," said Brown.

"I have just got the report landed on my desk this morning from my man at the Motherwell Hamilton game, so once we take all factors into consideration we will pick the team."

Aberdeen will be looking to move further away from the relegation zone when the Accies come to town this week.
