Aberdeen new boy Niall McGinna feels his new club can challenge his former club for next season's Scottish Premier League title.
The 24-year old Northern Ireland international yesterday sealed a move from Celtic to Aberdeen and is of the belief that the Dons are capable of providing a contest for the Hoops for top spot in the wake of Rangers falling out of the top flight.
"With the current state Rangers are in there is no reason why Aberdeen cannot challenge Celtic next season," McGinn said.
"With the squad and manager we've got we should definitely be pushing for Europe.
"There is no reason why we can't do well and bring success back to this club.
"Aberdeen is a big club with a lot of history and it's good to be working under an experienced manager like Craig Brown."
