The Evening Express believes that Foran will sign a three year deal next week after he passes a medical at Pittodrie.
The 27-year-old Irishman was a target for Jimmy Calderwood in 2006 but Aberdeen were unable to match the £200,000 paid by Southend for the player.
Meanwhile, fellow Irishman Sammy Stewart has agreed to make a summer move from Glenavon to the Dons.
The 17-year-old midfielder is expected to make the switch for around £15,000 and will join starlet Anthony Bulger at Pittodrie, who was plucked from Dublin juveniles St Kevin's Boys' Club in April.
