Aberdeen’s Milson set for long stint on the sidelines

Aberdeen midfielder Rob Milsom will miss the rest of the season after undergoing knee surgery.

The 25-year old had the operation on Friday and it has since been revealed that the damage was far worse than expected and he will now be sat on the sidelines for the remainder of the campaign.

"He is likely to be out for the season," said Dons boss Craig Brown after Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Aberdeen.

"He had a knee operation in London and the leg was examined and there was more damage than first feared.

"The surgeon said he will not play this season so that's a major blow for us."
