Aberdeen's Brown says Fyvie too good for Fulham - 'He should be going to Man Utd or Arsenal'

Aberdeen manager Craig Brown suggests that wantaway youngster Fraser Fyvie is too good to play for Fulham.

The 19-year old midfielder, who is out of contract at Pittodrie this summer, is expected to sign with the Cottagers at the end of the season but Brown believes he could probably set his sights even higher.

"Fyvie is good enough to play at the highest level in England. He has the potential to play for the top clubs," Brown told the Daily Record.

"The talk of him going to Fulham has been going around for a while, but I reckon he could do a lot better.

"If he has real ambition, he should be looking to go to the likes of Manchester United or Arsenal.

"We are disappointed he has chosen not to accept the new contract offered by Aberdeen.

"He would have benefitted from continuing his development at Pittodrie. But it's a free world and he now has to look to do the best he can as far as moving to his next club goes."
