Aberdeen have offered goalkeeper Jamie Langfield a new contract.
The 32-year old is back in action after 11 months on the sidelines following surgery for a brain seizure and the club wants to secure his services with his current deal expiring this summer.
"But here we are; he plays, we have a clean sheet and he plays exceptionally well so he is right in contention for being number one.""Jamie has been offered a new deal and a good contract, I think. He loves Aberdeen Football Club and I think his concern was that he was not going to be in contention for the number one goalkeeping spot," manager Craig Brown told Red TV after Langfield made his Scottish Premier League return in the weekends 2-0 win at Inverness.
