Aberdeen fine duo for red cards

Aberdeen boss Mark McGhee will fine Zander Diamond and Richard Foster two weeks wages after their red cards against Hamilton Accies, reports the Scottish Sun. The Aberdeen duo walked for second bookable offences in the humiliating 3-1 defeat.

McGhee said: "It was totally irresponsible and poor professionalism. I can assure both of them the full force of whatever can be done to them will be brought upon them. There will be no mercy shown.

"They've let themselves down very badly and let down guys like Stuart Duff and Davide Grassi, who are trying to use our final matches to win new contracts. Being down to nine men made life really difficult for them. They're letting each other down which is criminal.

"It is bad enough they are suspended for the Kilmarnock game, but it looks as if they could get further suspensions because of the points they got.

"That could hit us hard at the start of next season."
