All five are out of contract in the summer and have yet to accept offers of new three year deals. A lack of cash appears to be the main reason, as Director of Football Willie Miller explained:

"There have been no further developments with these players' contract talks.

"We want them to stay at the club but Aberdeen do not have a lot of finances to maneouvre with."
