Aberdeen continue to have pop at referees

Aberdeen chief executive Willie Miller has this time accused refs of victimising his club for more than a year, reports the Scottish Sun. Miller and the Dons are already in hot water after the club's website claimed ref Steven Nicholls acted like Hibs' 12th man in a 2-0 defeat at Easter Road 10 days ago.

He said: "I am ready to face the SFA over the club's comments about referee Steven Nicholls.

"I stand by our right to take a stance against what was the latest in a series of occasions when we have felt hard done by.

"The SFA have to do what they believe is right, but so does this club.

"We have been on the end of a number of bad decisions over the last year or so.

"These decisions stretch back into last season when Charlie Mulgrew was red-carded against Rangers in an incident when he did nothing wrong.

"Charlie was also sent off against Hibs earlier last season for handball when the ball was hit at him by a player who was clearly in an offside position.

"He should not have been sent off on either occasion.

"The SPL is not a dirty league and we don not want the spectacle of the game to be downgraded by sending players off too easily."
