Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes has ruled himself out of the running for the Sunderland job.
The Scotsman, who has done an impressive job at Aberdeen for the last three seasons, has been strongly linked to replace David Moyes at the Stadium of Light.
Following his side's 2-1 defeat to Celtic in the Scottish Cup final, he said: "I've said it often enough, I love working here. I think it's a brilliant club, I feel at home here. It would take something special for me to want to leave.
"The work's ongoing. For the last seven, eight months, we've been trying to implement bringing players in here."
