Aberdeen are currently nine points off the bottom of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League table. But Dons boss Mark McGhee, despite a run of poor form, dismissed reports that there was a player revolt at the club and that members of his squad had expressed disquiet over his management style.
"It's ludicrous to suggest we could be relegated," he insisted. "The thought hasn't even entered my mind. After the 4-4 draw with Celtic over a week ago people were talking about us making a big push for Europe.
"Now, two games later and suddenly it is being suggested my job could be on the line and that every player at Pittodrie is rubbish."
