Aberdeen boss McInnes keen to retain ex-Man City keeper Weaver

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes is hoping to keep Nicky Weaver at the club past this winter.

The 34-year old goalkeeper signed a six-month deal with the Dons in the summer, which will expire in the New Year, but McInnes would love to retain his services despite only using him twice in the league this season.

"There is still a willingness to keep Nicky here," said McInnes of the former Manchester City man.

"Hopefully in the next week or so we will know either way."
