Mark McGhee has apologised for calling a decision by referee Willie Collum as 'unbelievable'. The Aberdeen boss hit out at the official following the Dons' 1-0 defeat to St Johnstone on Saturday.
McGhee was unhappy with Collum's decision to show Rory McArdle a red card for a tackle on Cleveland Taylor.
However, McGhee did promise that he would retract his statement should replays prove that the challenge did warrant a sending off.
"I can see now why the ref felt it was worth a red card," McGhee told STV.
"Rory didn't help himself with the way he went into the challenge. One of his legs was very high and went around the St Johnstone player."
