Aberdeen boss Mark McGhee fears his players may be suffering a crisis of confidence after going down to Kilmarnock. The Dons slumped to their sixth successive defeat after losing 2-0 at Rugby Park to increase the pressure on beleaguered manager McGhee.
Aberdeen are only off the bottom of the table because of their superior goal difference to Hamilton.
"I have to be really careful now," said McGhee. "There is a danger at this point, for the first time that the confidence really starts to go. Obviously I have to be on alert for that.
"We didn't look to have any more energy left to get a goal and that was disappointing. But I think the game was lost earlier than that.
"My concern is why we weren't able to get a goal in the first half. We huffed and puffed but there was no edge to it.
"We played some good stuff on the right-hand side in the first half, Chris Maguire looked a handful but we didn't create any meaningful chances."
