Aberdeen boss confirms Fulham interest in Grimmer

Aberdeen manager Craig Brown has confirmed that Fulham are interested in Jack Grimmer but has warned the teenager to not get too carried away.

Grimmer became the youngest player in Aberdeen's history to play for the first team when he made his debut against Rangers in April 2010 and Brown hopes he keeps his feet firmly on the ground by remaining at Pittodrie Stadium and furthering his development.

"Quite categorically there has been no bid from Fulham," Brown told RedTV.

"There has been an expression of interest but no bid.

"We spoke with Jack recently about staying with Aberdeen. When I last spoke with him, about a week ago, his agent was coming up early in the new year to speak to us about Jack's future.

"We haven't had an offer from Fulham so this is speculation. I suspect as usual that agents leak that information.

"No matter the player, it can unsettle the player and make him a bit starry-eyed about playing in England."
