Aberdeen manager Craig Brown insists he will not go down without a fight if the Scottish Football Association decide to punish him for recent actions.
Brown and Motherwell owner John Boyle had an altercation following last Saturday's clash between the two clubs at Fir Park which the home side took out 2-1.
Former Scotland boss Brown says that this type of thing happens all the time in football and has made it clear he will fight any potential punishment that comes his way.
"I've been at three World Cups and three European Championships with Scotland and there have been many incidents of every description on and off the field," the Dons boss said.
"What happened at Fir Park was an inconsequential incident and I don't expect to hear anything more about it - but if I do I'll contest it like anybody would.
"If the SFA ask me to speak to them then I would but, while I'm maybe naive, I don't think it's necessary. I don't know why I should face a ban. I shook hands with the Motherwell chairman and subsequently it wasn't a very pleasant situation. I haven't had any contact with anyone at Motherwell since.
"I didn't do a thing, in my opinion, to merit anything and while it's the SFA's prerogative to take action I would fight it."
