Abel Hernandez has signed a new deal with Palermo.

The Uruguayan striker had been linked with a move to one of the bigger Italian clubs, but has penned a deal until June 30 2016.

"I am really happy," he told the official club website. "I love living in Palermo, as I said in recent days. I always thought only of these colours and my only desire was to stay.

"I am certain that together with our fans we can achieve many more great things together."
