Abel Hernandez: I chose Hull over Benfica. A dream come true

Former Palermo striker Abel Hernandez is thrilled with his move to Hull City.

The Uruguay international has moved to the KC as Hull's record signing.

"I'm going to the best league in the world, it will be a wonderful experience," Hernandez told TMW.

"I aim to work hard immediately to reach my best condition. I'm ready to play in England. It has always been my dream. Thank-you Hull City to opening the door, I hope to repay the faith."

Hernandez chose Hull over Portuguese giants Benfica.

He explained: "Yes, but the English league is the best in the world. I want to be fighting to prove my worth. I signed for three years with an option for a fourth year, I will do my best to hit all the targets.

"The first is (Premier League) safety."
