Abbruscato happy with Torino move

Former Lecce striker Elvis Abbruscato is happy with his move to Torino.

The striker was co-owned by the two clubs and when they failed to reach an agreement before the July 25 deadline, the matter was resolved by placing bids in a sealed envelope.

Torino won comfortably with a £1.6m offer for the remaining 50 per cent of the 27-year-old's contract.

"It is disappointing to leave this great project halfway through, both personally and professionally," said Abbruscato after helping Lecce to promotion.

"I have to admit that Torino and President Urbano Cairo wanted me much more than Lecce did. In this case, the figures speak volumes."
