Aaron Lennon was delighted to make his Everton debut for their 0-0 draw with Liverpool.
The England winger joined the Blues on loan on deadline day from Tottenham.
"It was a massive game," he told evertontv. "As soon as I came out for the warm-up, I could tell. I've played in a lot of derbies, but I knew straight away that this was a fierce one.
"I was just buzzing to be involved to be honest.
"I was itching to get on. You could see the crowd lifting the players and it's just one of those games you want to get into. I was so happy to come on."
