Nicklas Helenius has been given permission by Danish club Aalborg to travel to England in order to sort out his future.
The 22-year old striker is a strong summer transfer target for Aston Villa and although the two clubs have not quite agreed a fee, Aalborg will allow him to meet with Villa officials to get a clearer indication of what needs to occur for the move to go ahead.
"We had a long debate, but we've not quite agreed," Aalborg sports director Allan Gaarde told Nordjskye.
"However, we are close, so we have given Nicklas permission to travel to Birmingham at the weekend and look at the situation."
Helenius caught Villa's attention after scoring 16 goals as Aalborg finished fifth in the Danish Superliga.
