Costa Rican striker Jean Carlos Solorzano set the A-League alight last week as he finally came of age after an indifferent start to his career in Australia.
The 22-year old netted four goals in two matche, including two against Perth Glory in the 3-2 win on Wednesday, before sparking the league leaders to a 5-1 win over fourth-placed Central Coast Mariners on Sunday.
Solorzano has forced himself into Ange Postecoglou’s plans by scoring six of his seven Roar goals in the past four matches and has added an extra string to the already length bow of the Brisbane outfit.
His performance last week earned him his first tribalfootball.com A-League Team of the Week selection.
Another Roar play who has made a starting spot his own is right-back Ivan Franjic. The 23-year old is becoming one of the best attacking defenders in the competition with his strong runs down the right flank and ability to pick out unmarked teammates in the box.
Franjic, alongside German playmaker Thomas Broich and promising youngster Mitch Nichols, was also selected in the Team of the Week for November 28.
