A-League Round 4 – Melbourne Heart v Perth Glory

Top of the table meets bottom in the final game of Round 4 A-League action.

The Glory have met expectations so far with two wins and a draw whilst the Heart are showing that a new team cannot be put together and simply go out onto the pitch and immediately gain results.

Perth will certainly be the bookies’ favourite, especially after their 2-0 win over Melbourne Victory last time they were at AAMI Park and I feel that unless the Heart can contain their attacking threats like Robbie Fowler, Branko Jelic and Adriano Pellegrino, it could be a similar result for the Western Australians.

The loss of defender Michael Beauchamp is a huge blow for the home side and although they are slowly finding their feet in the competition, with improved performances every week, this one may just be too much for them.

Verdict: Perth 3-1.
