A-League review – Round 4
Another interesting week of A-League action has seen the table begin to take some sort of shape.
Perth Glory managed to remain on top thanks to a last-gasp penalty scored by Robbie Fowler to force a 2-2 draw with an unlucky Melbourne Heart yesterday who managed to jump off the bottom of the table with the point they received.
In other matches, Adelaide United went to second following their 3-2 away win over North Queensland Fury on Saturday evening which forced the Townsville club to fall to fourth, Brisbane Roar climbed to third with a solid 1-0 home win over Wellington Phoenix who dropped to seventh on Friday night, Melbourne Victory’s 1-0 away win over Gold Coast United enabled them to move to fifth with the losers dropping to eighth and reigning champs Sydney FC fell to the bottom after their 1-1 draw with Central Coast Mariners who dropped to sixth.
