The Mariners denied the Jets the chance to finish fourth and set up a home final by recording a 3-0 victory which ended their season at home on a high.

In other matches, Melbourne Victory accounted for North Queensland Fury 2-0 at home on Friday night, Adelaide United got a rare win by the same margin over Brisbane Roar at Hindmarsh, Sydney FC moved into second on the table with a 3-2 win over Perth Glory and Wellington Phoenix upset Gold Coast United 1-0 with a controversial penalty.
