Again another interesting weekend of A-League action which kicked off on Friday night with North Queensland Fury defeating Perth Glory.

The Fury dominated proceedings at home but could only hit the back of the net once through David Williams - his first goal for the club.

Elsewhere in the league, ten man Sydney FC recorded a gritty 1-0 away win over Wellington Phoenix in tough conditions in Palmerston North thanks to a Steve Corica penalty, league leaders Melbourne Victory continued on their merry way with a comfortable 3-0 win away against Central Coast Mariners, Adelaide United also scored an away win over the Brisbane Roar and the Newcastle Jets rocketed to fourth on the table with a 3-2 home win over Gold Coast United.
