In other matches, the Newcastle Jets notched up their first win since round 4, netting two early goals to defeat Central Coast Mariners in the F3 derby, reigning champions Melbourne Victory extended their winning run over Adelaide United to eight matches by winning 3-1, the plucky North Queensland Fury came from behind to beat Perth Glory 2-1 and Sydney FC survived a few late scares to go back on top of the table with a 2-1 win over the Brisbane Roar.
