A-League player movements – Brisbane Roar
Submitted by Andrew Slevison on Mon, 05/11/2009 - 05:31
The most notable thing about the Roar during the off season is the change of team name from Queensland to Brisbane.
With two new clubs from Queensland stepping into the competition, the Roar thought it would be better to downgrade their area of representation from the whole state to the city in where they base themselves.
They too have been taken over by the FFA and will be looking for improved performances on the pitch with a new-look playing list.
Arrivals: Henrique (Formiga, Brazil - 1 year), Matt Mundy (Brisbane Roar NYL - 2 years), Adam Sarota (Brisbane Roar NYL - 3 years).
Departures: Chris Grossman (North Queensland Fury), Matt McKay (Changchun Yatai – on loan), Tahj Minniecon (Gold Coast United), Hyuk-Su Seo (released).
