Former Australian international Alex Tobin believes the A-League's three marquee signings this season have greatly benefited football in Australia.
Juventus icon Alessandro Del Piero, former Liverpool and England forward Emile Heskey and ex-Feyenoord and Japan midfielder Shinji Ono have all been class personified for their respective clubs - Sydney FC, Newcastle Jets and Western Sydney Wanderers - according to Tobin.
"They've all made a great impact; All of them have been very press-accommodating, sponsorship-accommodating too - their faces and names have been always been talked about," Tobin told Fox Sports' Kick Off on Friday night.
"They've also put in for their team; they acknowledge their teammates, celebrate goals like the others do.
"All the fans of the game see that and that's why they've made such a great contribution.
"I've got a 16-year-old son who goes out to each (Sydney) game, wears the Del Piero shirt. He's obviously a great drawcard but beyond that too, the A-League and football in Australia has benefited from what he's done."
