A-League burn rubber with Hankook

The Australian arm of South Korean tyre manufacturer Hankook has signed a sponsorship deal with the Hyundai A-League, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. Contract details were not released, but Hankook will receive static billboard, and LED board positions across Australia's top domestic soccer league.

"Hankook has an increasing presence in Australian motoring and motorsport," said Hankook Tyre Australia managing director Paul Park.

"And away from the conventional motoring associations, we have seen the opportunity to partner with the Hyundai A-League as a symbiotic relationship and a perfect fit.

"The Hyundai A-League is a relatively new brand with an honest reputation, exhibits strong growth, it magnetises an expanding fan base and exhibits a family atmosphere - attributes shared by both organisations."

Football Federation Australia (FFA) chief executive David Gallop said: "FFA would like to welcome Hankook to the football family as a partner of the Hyundai A-League. We are on a long term journey to make football the number one sport in Australia and the support of brands like Hankook Tyres helps us along that path."
